my latest thoughts, (use this link to jump down to the bottom of the page) Welcome to Bryce Online, my name is Bryce Edward Paul D., the future heir to the Family Fortune. Currently, my residence is a little small but in 9 weeks I plan to move on to bigger and better things. My parents, Sylvia and Ken, are busy getting things ready for my arrival and the many long nights of partying I have planned for them. They have already bought many nice gifts, and new dashing duds for me to wear. I am glad to announce that Todd and Charity
are proud parents of an 8 lb baby boy, Todd is my father's Cousin.
Now I will have someone to play with! I plan on making several
updates through the weeks until my arrival, along with pictures
of my parents, my room and my stuff. It is a good thing my laptop
has a strong battery. Today I got the word that my new crib is in....yeeha!!!
This thing is awesome. The side folds down which makes it easier
for mom or dad to tend to my every need. Mom and Dad are making
arrangements to get it delivered, if not by Grampa E then by
the Nursery Nook next weekend. The weather has been very hot
lately, around 85 to 90. This makes it a little uncomfortable
for mom, but yesterday we spent the day in a movie theater watching
Face Off. Boy was that good! It got me so active, I used mom's
right ribs as a speed bag. Half of the baby classes are over
with now, last Wed. mom and dad learned about CPR for kiddos.
They got to practice on a baby CPR doll. They both passed with
flying colors. Well, gotta go, the battery on my laptop is flashing...see
ya soon. It has been a very thunderous week. Storms
came through on Wednesday and tornadoes hit hardest near Detroit.
Luckily, all that happened around here were hard rains. But the
good news is that my crib is here, Grampa E and my dad picked
it up yesterday. Mom and dad put it together in no time, I can't
wait to try it out! Mom and dad went to the 4th of July carnival
in Flint, had a few caramel apples and bought me a nice back-pack
to carry my stuff in when we go on the road. It has Mickey Mouse
on it, it is cool! Other than that, things have been rather smooth,
mom and dad are planning a bar-B-Q later today, hope it isn't
to spicy or I'll have to play a tune on mom's ribs. That is all
for this week, see ya soon. It has been quite awhile since my last entry,
trying to conserve my lap-top batteries. I am proud to announce
my arrival!!! It was a long and restless night for my parents,
but they will tell you, it was all worth it! I arrived on August
7th, at 9:43 pm. I weighed 4 lbs and 6 oz. I decided to be stubborn,
so the doctors delivered me by C-Section. Both me and mom are
doing well. Dad is home right now, getting a little rest before
coming back to visit me and tend to my every need. I plan to
have a photo gallery up in a little while. Grama and Grampa D,
Grama E, Robert and Debbie helped celebrate my arrival. I am still in the hospital even though my
mom went home on Sunday. Seems I am a little jaundice, I look
like a little glow bug in my crib. They have a special light
that is attached to my back to help get the billy Ruben out of
my system. I am eating better too!!! Soon, it won't be long until
I can go home. My mom and Dad are always here it seems, never
far away with a bottle when I need it. Hello everyone, I am home now! I came home
on the 15th of August. Since that time, I have made sure that
mom has not got enough rest, he he. She has been very attentive
to my every need. I went to the doctors today to get weighed,
and now I weigh 5 lbs! Dad has taken some time off of work to
spend some time with me. Next week I go to the hand specialist
to have my hand looked at. I am the only kid I know that can
hitch-hike and get twice the work done. I will let you know how
it goes, see ya next time. Hello everyone, I have a lot of news to tell
you. First, I went to the doctors about my hand, and he has decided
not to operate until I am at least a year old. Second, I am proud
to announce that I lost my Belly Button last Tuesday, Yeeee Haaa.
And on a sad note, Lady Diana, the Princess of Wales lost her
life today in a automobile accident in France. Although I barely
knew her, my dad saw her once while he was in London England.
The world will mourn her loss. Hello everyone, a lot has happened since August
31st. First let me say that I am sorry that I have not written
until now, but life has been crazzzzzzy. First let me begin by
saying that I am now eating some solid foods, a little rice made
with mamma's milk, good to the last drop. Second, mom and dad
sold their house and moved into a nice, smaller home. They did
that so that mom can spend more time with me and she won't have
to work as much. That means more time to spend with me! Third,
dad had a small operation to fix a hernia. Both dad and hernia
are doing well. I've been to several movies, enjoyed them all.
I am also spending a lot of time with Grandma E while mom works.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I know I have a lot
to be thankful for, I have two wonderful parents who love me,
and lots of relatives and friends who I care deeply for. Who
knows, maybe this summer I can take a trip and go see some of
them. Well I guess that is all for now, see you soon. Hello everyone, and happy after Thanksgiving.
I don't know what the big deal was, you eat a lot of food and
you watch TV, sounds like everyday happenings for me. But I did
let Mom and Dad enjoy themselves while I took a nap. The weather
is getting a little bit colder which means that Christmas is
around the corner, YeeeeeeeHaaaa. I intend to make out like a
bandit! Dad's hernia is doing well, and he is back to work. Mom
is doing well too, though I do get her up around 3:00 am to do
the "walk". I went and saw Santa, what a great job
he has, sits around, eats cookies and plays with toys. We put
our Christmas tree up, and Mom and Dad got me a couple of great
ornaments for me. One is a Knight with a red plum...can't keep
my hands off of it. The other is shaped like a half moon with
a mouse riding it. Well, that is about all for now, see you soon.
Hello everyone, and Happy New Year!!!!. They
sure do pack a lot holidays in a short amount of time. One day
I'm ripping through presents, the next I'm tossing back a cold
bottle and kissing my fishes happy new year. I spent most of
my pre-holiday hanging under the tree, admiring the Christmas
ornament my mom and pop got me. But Christmas was great, I spent
Christmas Eve at my Aunt's house were I got a visit from the
jolly ol elf himself. He gave me a present, a baby Big Bird Squeeze
doll. Christmas day was even better, toys, toys, toys and even
more toys. Granma and Grampa D. made me some wooden pull toys,
Grampa E. gave me a cool musical toy that dad put on my crib.
I'm looking forward to next year!!! New Years Eve was cool, Although
I went to bed early, I woke up to a brand new year!!! Well, that
is about all for now, see you soon. Hello everyone, I am back from trip. Mom,
Dad, Cousin Jessie, Cousin Zak and I went on a train ride to
Battle Creek for the weekend. We had a great time...I've never
been on a train ride before but I must say it is the way go.
We stayed at a hotel where a glass of milk cost over a dollar,
high priced cows I guess. We played at a fun park across the
street... arcade games, laser tag, stomping spiders... I fell
asleep half way through but I'm told everyone had a great time.
We came back the next day and Granny E. picked us up at the train
station. Other than that, we are enjoying great weather... Elnino
may be socking it to everyone else, but he must really love us.
I am watching the Winter Olympics now so I will have to let you
go...see you soon. Hello everyone, I know that it has been a
long time since my last update so I will clue you into what has
been going on. I am still trying to stand up, I'm reaching out
to the furniture, tables... anything I can so that I can stand
up. My legs aren't strong enough yet to hold me but a boys gotta
do what a boys gotta do. I am eating better too. I am up to 15
lbs. My teeth are starting to come in... though not yet. I just
love to nibble on stuff. If you look really close, you can almost
see them. Right now, I am getting ready for my up-coming vacation
to Oklahoma next Thursday. I will let you know how it goes. Hello everyone, I just flew in from my trip
to Oklahoma and boy are my arms tired. Mom, Dad and I went on
a little trip to Oklahoma to visit some friends. We drove mostly
at night, that way I could catch up on my sleep without having
to stop all the time. We borrowed Granma's van which made the
trip all the nicer. I can't tell you what a good boy I was on
the trip! We dropped dad off in Muskogee so that he can play
with his swords while mom and I continued on to Norman to visit
one of mom's friends, Amy. I had such a good time in Oklahoma.
I got to see the old house that mom and dad had in Norman, and
I got the opportunity to play with my new friends Randy, Riley
and Jake... those are Amy and Steve's kids. The trip back was
just as nice. I am starting to become very mobile. I am starting
to crawl now and pull myself up on the furniture. My teeth are
starting to come in now, it won't be long until I get my full
set of chompers. I'm gonna get going, I will put up some pictures
of the trip soon... see ya. Hello everyone, a lot has happened in the
last month... three days ago, I took my first few steps, three
to be exact. I let go of an end table, stuttered a few steps
and plopped on my bum. One small step for Bryce... a reign of
terror for my parents... he he. I went to my nieces graduation
party yesterday and met a lot of my relations. I had a great
time being passed from aunt to aunt to aunt. My teeth are coming
in good too. My top teeth look like two chicklets. and I have
one bottom one in and one coming in. I am not eating my baby
food like I should, but mom lets me take a big bite of banana
once in awhile... and some ice cream too... love that cream.
I am scooting around more too. I love to explore! Well, I am
going to get going, see ya. Hello everyone, and Happy Fourth of July!!!!
This is my first in a long line of many. Last week I went, with
my mom, dad, Granny E, Jessie and Zak, down to Sea World in Ohio.
I had a great time. Saw dolphins, Killer Whales and a host of
many other types of marine life. Right now I am in Kentucky visiting
some of my relatives, so I will keep this short. I will up date
my site with pictures of my vacation when I get back. Hello everyone, I am proud to announce that
yesterday was my first in a long line of many birthdays!!!! But
today, mom and dad helped me celebrate it in style. We had Granny
and Grandpa E, Aunt Kellie and Uncle Randy, Travis, Aunt Debbie,
Jessie, Zak and a few other friends help me celebrate it today.
I received so many nice gifts. Aunt Debbie got me my own vacuum
cleaner that I can push around the house, Grandma and Grandpa
E gave me a nice push car that I can use to walk around with,
and other nice gifts from many loving family and friends. Although
today started with a scare. It seems I found this nice penny
on the floor and thought that it would make a nice meal... well
it got caught in my throat and I started to choke. Thank goodness
for the quick actions of my mom and dad. Dad with assistance
from mom, scooped the penny out. It was a good scare all round,
and not one I would like to repeat! As soon as dad gets the pictures
developed, I will put them on the web page. I also plan on creating
a page devoted to my vacations of 1998 with lots of pictures.
I think you will love the pictures of me with cake all over my
face, we all had a great time! See you all again soon. Hello everyone, a lot has been happening around
here lately. I went to my first actual Renaissance Fair in Holly.
I loved it! I got to see the World Strong Man competition and
various other events. I even got my picture taken in one of those
standing cut-outs where you put your face and it looks like you
have someone elses body. But the big news is tomorrow morning,
at 11:30, I am having my hand operated on to remove one of my
extra thumbs. I know that my mom and dad are more than a little
nervous, and to tell you the truth, so am I. I will let you know
how it goes... Hello everyone, sorry to keep you in suspense...
but the operation, by the doctors words, went better than expected.
I guess the extra thumb didn't have the major muscles attached,
but only a few tendons. He told mom and dad that when the bandage
comes off, in about 3 days, that if the wound looks good, they
don't have to go back and see him. Sounds like good news. And
to watch me now, you would never guess that I had an operation,
except for the bandage. I am a lovable kid and a joy to know...
ya right... he he. We went to the Nordberg get together, this
seems to happen twice a year. I had a great time seeing everyone
and munchin on the great food. I can't wait until I am old enough
to do more than pick up sticks and drool... well gotta go, talk
to you soon. Hello everyone, sorry for such a long delay
between updates. Halloween has come and gone and everyone is
gearing up for Thanksgiving. For Halloween, we went down to visit
Mom's friend Amy, her husband Steve and kids Randy, Riley and
Jake. They live in Oklahoma. The start of the trip was a little
National Lampoon's Vacation... Mom or Dad didn't check to see
how to get to the airport and they got a little lost on the way.
Then when they finally arrived at the airport, running late of
coarse, they parked a mile away in long term parking. So they
decided not to wait for the shuttle and made the trek, dad with
a bag on his back and me in a car seat in his arms. Mom didn't
fare any better, she had my bag and the rather large suit case
to lug around. Tempers were flaring but we made it to the terminal,
too late though so we had to take a later flight. That is ok,
it gave time for Mom and Dad to cool their heals and start to
enjoy the vacation. The plane ride was great, I really enjoyed
seeing the clouds and even took a little nap. We arrived in Oklahoma,
rented a car and drove out to Amy's house. I really had a great
time there, they have this play house with a slide, and by the
end of the visit, I was scampering up it like a pro. Randy's
birthday is on Halloween, cool, so we all went Trick or Treating
and celebrated his birthday the next day. For Halloween, I dressed
up as Superman. Jake, my newest friend, dressed up as Batman.
We had a great time. We met some of Amy's relatives and Steve's
brother who dressed up as 70's guy. He had the biggest fro I've
ever seen! The next day, we went to Randy's birthday party which
was at a day care center. They had tons of toys, I really enjoyed
the ball pit and the slide! I even got dad to put me on the slide
and when he wasn't looking, I scampered up and out of dads reach....
what fun! We flew planes on the way back home, but I slept all
the way back. We are home now, safe and sound. I'll write more
later when I put more pictures up... talk to you soon. Hello everyone, sorry for such a long delay
between updates but mom and dad have not been taking many pictures
or are too busy to make timely updates. A lot has happened since
I last wrote, Christmas came and went. I got a lot of toys, but
one of my favorites is a toy vacuum. I just love to play with
it when mom vacuums. I also enjoy my own recliner... these are
just a few of the many things I got. New Years came and went,
I went to bed early while mom and dad did not fare any better....
I think they went to bed around 10:30 pm. I have almost a full
set of teeth and I am talking better. I now use two word sentences...
I love to say bye, give hugs, blow kisses goodbye... but I think
the one thing I do now which still surprise mom and dad is that
I am going to bed on my own now. Around 7:00, I get up, walk
to my room and mom or dad lift me into my bed, cover me up and
turn out the lights. On my ceiling are glow in the dark stars,
which I watch until I fall asleep. I hope dad can get some new
pictures up on my page this weekend... some from Fall and Christmas...
I think you will enjoy them. Until next time... Hello everyone, spring is just around the
corner and I can't wait to get outside and play. Right now, our
armed forces are attacking the Serbs... hope it does not go on
much longer. I have had an ear-infection but am taking medicine
for it. I am even more mobile, my vocabulary is a little more
advanced now too. In no time I will be speaking at the local
college on baby matters... those speaking fees sure do pay off.
Well, can't stay, got to go and get ready for spring. Hello everyone, it's already July... wow this
year is just flying by. My birthday is just around the corner...
I hope you are getting me something good. I know it has been
awhile since I have written but here's whats been happening...
Mom and dad moved again, but this time they say it is for good.
They sold their house and bought a new one around mid May. The
move was quick with the help of some friends. My favorite word
to say now is "Why". I love the new place, mom takes
me biking at the nearby park, dad comes along sometimes too.
I got tubes in my ears on the 1st of July and now have to wear
ear-plugs when I take a bath. Mom's friend Grace is visiting
home from England, but Mom and Dad forgot to get a hold of her
before she left England to let her know of our move. I hope they
can get together before she goes back. Dad is acting now at the
Holly Ren Fair. Practice is every Tues. and Thurs. from 6-10.
He is going to be the Capt. of the Royal Guard... how cool! July
4th came and went. No big deal, I spent it watching a movie and
watching some local fireworks the neighbors put on. Gotta go... Hello everyone, Happy
New Year!!! I can't believe that is already 2000... just writing
that number seems weird. I have a lot of news to let you in on...
sorry it has taken me until now to write them down but I have
been very busy. First, I had my 2nd birthday in August, and I
got lots of good stuff. Granny Ernst was there... Aunt Debbie,
Jessie, Zak, Aunt Kellie, Travis and my baby sitter Judy. We
had cake and ice cream. But probably the greatest news this year
is that Aunt Debbie had a baby on October 6, it is a boy and
his name is Buck... Of course Christmas came and I got lots of
presents because I was such a good boy. An the new year came...
everyone was really worried about Y2K.... but when it finally
came, it was much ado about nothing... at least so far. I have
some great pictures to post, but mom and dad have to get them
developed.. so look for them in a week or two... gotta go... |
